The Associated Builders and Contractors of Texas mission is to represent members in affecting state legislation and other governmental affairs favorable to free enterprise principles and the Merit Shop Philosophy.

For over 50 years ABC has existed to provide a voice for the merit shop in construction.  Over the decades the core function of our organization has grown to encompass jobsite safety programs, worker safety training, and promotion of skilled workforce development. Each of these functions is relevant in the era of COVID-19 when the safety of our workforce is paramount amidst a public health crisis.  ABC members are urged to take every precaution, and follow every health recommendation developed by the CDC, and required under federal, state, and local government guidelines.

We are all in this together.

Associated Builders and Contractors is the organization that is working behind the scenes for you without you even knowing it.   When you are going about your daily routine, take time to think of all that ABC does for you. If you don’t have to cross a picket line to get to your jobsite – thank ABC. When you write that Worker’s Compensation check, remember that your rates are about 50% of what they were 20 years ago – thank ABC. When your General Liability Insurance rates are lower now than they were 15 years ago due to tort reform and caps on pain and suffering – thank ABC. When you do any public job and the owner is not allowed to file a frivolous lawsuit for construction defects without first allowing you the Right to Repair – thank ABC. ABC is the one organization you cannot afford NOT to be a part of.

The following ABC of Texas Members have provided financial support which is above and beyond their normal dues commitment.
